Crouch End House

New-build house for a private client, London

The practice is developing plans for a custom build mews house in the vibrant centre of the Crouch End Conservation Area.

Located on a quiet backland site bordering the High Street, the proposal comprises the creation of ground floor living spaces with a private garden and three bedrooms. The design amplifies existing qualities of the constrained plot by forming generous double height living spaces and bringing in the afternoon sun through a series of high level windows.

The building volume and internal spaces have been carefully arranged to provide privacy while allowing views towards the surrounding mature trees.

The project gained planning approval and the start of construction is scheduled for November 2019.
